ROSEMARY SPICED NUTS

This week while reorganizing my cabinets, I kept finding random caches of nuts that weren’t really enough to repackage and store so I decided to toast them up. Enter a delicious spiced-toasted-nut moment that I promise will be a huge hit. At the very least it’s definitely worth emptying out the cabinet (or freezer) for!

Serves 2-4 for snacking (or enough to round out a cheese board)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed nuts, toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted

Method

Toast whatever nuts you may be using (I used pecans, almonds, cashews, walnuts and pumpkin seeds) in a 325 degree oven for 10-15 minutes, or until they darken and you can smell their toasty goodness.

Meanwhile, chop the rosemary and melt the butter. Combine all ingredients and toss with hot nuts until the nuts are evenly coated.

Not only is this a super easy snack to throw together, but it also makes your kitchen smell amazing!
